Colonoscopic capsule with easy preparation

Improved virtual colonoscopy

No liquid laxatives drinking,

No dieting,

No lost working days

Incomplete optical colonoscopies occur in 4–25%(1) of screening patients, often requiring an out-of-practice referral for CT Colonography (CTC).

Endoscopic Capsule provides physicians a potential solution for patients who need another option after an incomplete colonoscopy with adequate preparation, allowing a complete examination in up to 97% of patients.(2)

Colonoscopic Capsule with Easy preparation is a method of visualizing the colon in patients with a technically incomplete optical colonoscopy.

Colonoscopic Capsule allows direct visualization of missed colon anatomy without the radiation exposure or discomfort of bowel distention associated with radiological studies.(1)

Additionally, Colonoscopic Capsule does not need intensive preparation, unlike CTC.

General information about Colonoscopic Capsule with easy preparation:

The new solution is based on a special sleeve that allows water to flow for about half an hour directly deep into the colon so that the cleansing is carried out from deep in the colon towards the anus in the natural direction of flow. This enables efficient cleaning of the colon. Research shows more than 90% success, at least as good as traditional preparation methods.

After the colon is cleansed, a sleeve inserts an endoscopic capsule deep into the colon. This capsule moves independently towards the anus while screening the colon wall to detect polyps and other lesions, which provides a complete inspection of the colon.

Colonoscopic Capsule performance data:

37% Overall diagnostic yield of Endoscopic Capsule on polyps of any size (3)

97%  A 2018 study showed up to 97% of incomplete colonoscopies were completed using Endoscopic Capsule (2)

Colonoscopic Capsule vs CT Colonography:

>60%  Higher diagnostic yield for polyps >5mm (3)

>3x Higher diagnostic yield for all polyps (3)
